Week 10 - Crooked LakeWeek 10 - Crooked Lake

“Crooked Lake” was made in Saskatchewan one early morning when I was camping next to the lake.  The interesting thing about this is that the lake is suffering from oxygen starvation due to an algae bloom which is brought on by a combination of fertilizer pollution and global warning.  The effects on the early morning light are quite spectacular as the lake takes on an almost unnatural green tinge bordering on pickle green.  Although I find the colors quite beautiful at the same time the somewhat menacing tones serves as a reminder of what we are doing to the environment and ourselves.
